Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.

Melt the butter and add it to the mashed bananas, mixing well.

Beat in the eggs until fully incorporated.

Fold in the self raising flour until just combined.

Chop the chocolate into small pieces and stir into the batter.

Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.

Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.

Allow to cool before slicing.
