    In a skillet, sauté onions until translucent. Add ground meat and cook until browned. Season with spice.

    In a baking dish, layer sliced potatoes at the bottom, then add half of the meat mixture, followed by half of the mushroom soup.

    Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients, ending with a layer of mushroom soup on top.

    Bake for 45 minutes or until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
